Got an interesting project you'd like me to get involved with?

I'm Steve Hartley. ClickStart.tech is my consultancy, so when you get in touch you're talking to me, not a sales team. I've spent the best part of twenty years building software and leading the teams who build it, and I still enjoy the hands-on part as much as I did at the start.

These days I help companies build things, bring AI and agents into their products, step in as their fractional tech lead, or take an outside look at their architecture. I like practical answers over perfect ones, getting things in front of real people early, and working with teams that trust each other.
